When you go to most building sites you see large storage containers placed around the site to keep the site materials safe (tools, cement mixers, oak beams and anything worth stealing) and provide the staff with a place to go for lunch breaks or when the heavens open. Most of these containers mount up on the back of some large MAC truck are either craned off or the MAC truck has its own lifting gear.

These large containers are so versatile as not only are the containers secure they can provide a large variety of services including, On Site Accommodation, secure storage, secure workshops, extra classrooms, COSHH storage facilities, Smoking shelters and Mobile homes.

I have found that you can find these containers for sale through reputable firms that they give you a great deal of flexibility when it comes to New builds or more to the point self builds. My plan is to purchase a container that has been made specifically for my needs shower and toilet, kitchen, bedroom and storage area with heating, lighting, power supply, external lighting and steel shuttered security windows.

This will enable me to have on site accommodation when I start on my new build, that can be craned in for the duration of the build and which I can then sell at the end of the build. The thing about Container buildings is that they work, that is why they are used so often.

I know that is a strong statement but if you have ever worked in the building industry you will know that if something is not working it wont get used. Every building site has one of these containers on it because of their reliability, security and ease of use.
